Support the Marine Science Institute

Your gift to the Marine Science Institute will play a role in this most critical area of scientific endeavor:  our oceans and the mysteries they hold for the health of our planet.

Please designate one of the following areas for your gift in the dropdown menu below:

The REEF:  Your support ensures that UCSB undergraduates can continue to provide transformative ocean science experiences to more than 20,000 visitors
annually. The REEF contributes to a scientifically literate populace and
provides undergraduates with valuable experiences in communicating with
K-12 students and the public about marine ecosystems, scientific
research and conservation, while providing them with pathways to careers
in the sciences and education.

The Ocean Fund:  Annual support that will be used at the discretion of the Director can have a transformative impact on the life of a young faculty member or student, or can be applied to emerging areas of research.  It can also be leveraged to secure additional funds and generate new opportunities.

Student Support:  Students at the Marine Science Institute are tackling issues that address a diverse array of challenges affecting oceans around the world, while contributing to our understanding of our "backyard:"  the Santa Barbara Channel.  You can make it possible for them to find solutions by supporting their efforts and enable MSI to attract the best and the brightest.
